Herewith we would like to inform you about the upcoming exhibition at the Terra Delft Gallery. From January 7 to February 5,2012, Wim Borst will show his new ceramic objects for the first time; the Corner Series.
Each piece in this exhibition is unique and the serie shows a complete new development in the work of this well known Dutch artist.
Besides the regular opening hours you can also visit the gallery on Sunday 5 February 2012 from 1300 to 1700.

T/m 13 augustus wordt nieuw werk van vijf reeds aan Terra verbonden keramisten in de schijnwerpers geplaatst naast het werk van de jonge designer Eva Gevaert.Zij toont een selectie van drie series serviesgoed, gemaakt met mallen in vijf maten. Door te experimenteren met verschillende manieren van gieten, ontstaat er een nieuwe wereld: gewicht verschuift, een zijkant gaat hangen, rond wordt ovaal.
Traditie en Vernieuwing is de ondertitel van het hedendaags keramiek festival Brandpunt Terra. Dit festival laat Delft als keramiekstad, in diverse binnenstad locaties, herleven en verrassen. De galerie is in deze periode ook geopend op zondag 13-17 uur en maandag 13-18 uur.

A new spring in gossamer porcelain by Henk Wolvers
In this exhibition at Terra Delft Gallery you will find a wide range of new objects by the artist Henk Wolvers. With the material porcelain he developed several subjects as pots, wall pieces and abstract objects. All the works are recently made, after his artist in residence period in the EKWC, the European Ceramic Work Centre in 's-Hertogenbosch.
Ook in 2011 is Galerie Terra Delft deelnemer aan de internationale hedendaagse kunstbeurs voor het autonoom design: Object Rotterdam. In de stand van Terra is keramiek te zien van:

The new series of raku-fired objects by Susanne Silvertant consists of free-standing pieces as well as wall hangings. For several years Silvertant has been combining details in glass in her work. She makes this glass herself and the surface is often in relief. |
The visual strength of Susanne Silvertant's work lies in her eye for proportion and an unfussy approach to making. Her interest in architecture is incorporated into her ceramic objects. Her work is characterized by its sculptural style and its weathered appearance. Solid, rational forms reveal a fascination for the surface. The clay is often textured and the colours of the glaze are intense. All of her work is built by hand and raku-fired. Contrasts are important in her work: inlays of pieces of porcelain create bright accents and a contrast to the coarse clay.
