Anemoon on Fire has created her own world of ceramic, figurative fantasy images. And she has already caused a sensation with this, such as in the exhibition Oracles from Far & Near in Museum Princessehof in Leeuwarden. Her enormous production astonishes, moves and surprises in subject and number.
Through her hobby of seadiving, she has also been inspired by underwater life forms. She depicts this with the reality of the pollution she finds. In her view, these creatures will survive by adapting. This creates a unique world in ceramics. Her use of glazes, oxides and engobes testifies to an uninhibited nature in technique, but certainly also in subject matter.
