2026: solo exhibition Nothing is. Something is.
A ceramic object like a spatial drawing. Volumes and lines merge into each other, and the spaces in between become shapes on their own. My work exists somewhere in the vast and for me fascinating space between the second and third dimensions. The creative possibilities are limitless: playing with depth and contour, movement, and transparency is almost always present. Emptiness, open space, is essential to the composition as a whole, both in still lifes and wall objects. The 'nothing' as a tangible, concrete form. Another invisible but indispensable element in all my work is shadows. With lighting, a new aspect of the object appears, like a surprising extra dimension.
