According to the Greek mythology, the amphisbaena is venomous serpent with a head at both ends of the body. His eyes glow like candles. He would be one of the deadliest snakes, born from the blood of Medusa after Perseus had flown with her dripping head over the Libyan desert. The amphisbaena is also called the mother of Ants, because he eats them regularly.
Two parts unique object, terrine with lid. Part of exhibition “Terra Incognita” 20/1-24/2 2018 at Terra Delft Gallery.
