The Dutch national ceramics prize ‘De Kei’ (The Rock) was established in 2020 by two ceramics collectors, Ankie Maessen and Bert van Meggelen. The prize is awarded biannually to an artist who excels in ceramics as an art form, a true ‘rock’ in this artistic field.
The winner receives De Kei 2025 on Friday, June 13 in the Old Church in Delft. In addition to this symbolic recognition, the winner also receives a monetary prize of € 7.500 and an exhibition at Galerie Terra Delft in 2026. The jury nominees are Anemoon on Fire, Pierluigi Pompei and Anton Reijnders.
Galerie Lutz in Delft is showing the work of all fifteen selected artists from 13-29 June (open on Friday-Saturday-Sunday).
The organization of De Kei is handled by the Delft Ceramics Promotion Foundation.
