In the Old Church in Delft, on June 13, 2025, Anton Reijnders received a ceramic pebble and a check for 7,500 euros from Mayor Marja van Bijsterveldt: the National Ceramics Prize De Kei, 2025 edition.

In a second round, the jury of experts selected Reijnders from three ceramicists whom they had previously nominated out of 15 artists proposed by a selection committee: Anemoon on Fire, Pierluigi Pompei, and Anton Reijnders.

The other two nominated artists each received a check for 500 euros.

Anton Reijnders (1955) has been working in ceramics for more than forty years, often in combination with other materials. His work is playful, mature, and energetic. He applies various ceramic techniques, and everything is of high quality. Reijnders is convincing as an artist and shares his knowledge and experience with other ceramicists. The jury unanimously chose this artist from the three nominees, as he uses ceramics in the most versatile way and employs all its facets to create meaning to aspects of reality. Reijnders lives and works in ’s Hertogenbosch.

Part of the prize is this exhibition at Galerie Terra Delft!
