After exhibiting in Washington, USA, Alessandro Gallo is awarded with the 1st prize for a grant of the Groot Foundation. With this grant Alessandro Gallo wants to realize a work in the atmosphere of the work he has shown on the Venice biennale. This involved a installation of pending figures in a subway station.
Since the manifestion Focus in Terra 2011 is Gallo’s work included in the collection of the Terra Delft Gallery. On the art fair KunstRAI 2012 there will also be a work of him shown with this gallery. All ceramic statues are painted with acrylics and very detailed done. The human figures with animal heads are always in everyday attitudes and situations. Other materials are often added to complete the sculptures.
