Wolvers at the V&A

Published on May 6, 2010

Today the ceramic department of the V&A, the VIctoria & Albert Museum in London, purchased a piece of art by Henk Wolvers.

This concerns a wallpiece out of seven porcelain elements from 200 by 4 cm. . This work was shown with the Terra Delft Gallery at the artfair COLLECT 2011, in the Saatchi Gallery in London from which the purchase was settled. This is the first piece by Wolvers added to the pretigous V&A collection. This wallpiece is recently made at the EKWC (European Ceramic Work Centre) in Den Bosch during a workperiode from Henk Wolvers there.

With this purchase Terra confirms a longer relation with the V&A. Earlier this museum bought at the Terra Delft Gallery contemporary ceramic art by Wouter Dam, Carolein Smit, Pauline Wiertz and Louise Hindsgavl.
