Four beakers in wooden box, information included.

Discovered in Delft; a collection of cups is a project assigned by Gallery Terra Delft and developed by Maaike Roozenburg in collaboration with the Technical University of Delft, Delft Archaeological Heritage and Boijmans van Beuningen Museum, Rotterdam.

Together with the Technical University of Delft, she used medical CT scan equipment to scan the seventeenth century glassware, excavated in Delft city-center. The resultant ‘data’ was then printed in various manners on 3-D printers, and used to form moulds in which porcelain could be cast.

Four porcelain cups which render ‘untouchable’ historic utensils dishwater proof. Heritage is back on the kitchen table.
