Common Ground — Anniversary Edition
This Terra 40! anniversary edition consists of two cups, crafted from clay: our shared earth.
Clay is more than a material; for centuries it has formed a connecting link between people, cultures, and stories, both as a utilitarian object and as an art form.
The decorations on the cup visualize this sense of connection. The colours refer to the continents, while the animals each represent one: the panda for Asia, the lion for Africa, the cow for Europe, the lama for the Americas, and the kangaroo for Australia. Together, they express both the diversity of the world and its shared origin.
