‘In my work shape and color are central. I have fun playing with form, to come to exciting compositions in shape. Starting point is also often a number of keywords such as: powerful, frivolous, exuberant, dynamic, surprise, the unexpected and cheerfulness. I choose often for coloring with sinter-engobes, the clay-like, the dullness of the engobes enhance the forms. With the series ‘underwater-world’, I was inspired by the incredible beautiful patterns and colors of tropical fish. This I have translated to decorations on my bowl and vase objects. The objects have the Latin name of the fish which was as a source of inspiration.'
