Frans Ottink produces mainly crockery in porcelain, usually in white and contrasting blue colours, whereby some parts are left unglazed.
In his original and sometimes humorous designs, function, visual eloquence, material properties and intuition all play equal roles. This artist finds his ideas in everyday life.Detailing and minor changes to tradition result in new shapes, which do not affect the distinctiveness of the object. He produces all the work in his own studio. His products are nearly always produced in series and are of a constant high quality.
